The Devil’s Advocate is our weekly radio show on Radio Warwick, or RaW. We discuss topics both serious and, well, less so, ranging from LGBT marriage and invading Syria, to whether Santa constitutes a threat to national security or “something about Harry Potter”.
Our Publicity Officer, Felix, will be hosting the show every week, but anyone interested can get involved! Our members frequently join us on studio to express their opinion on current events, philosophy, politics, or whatever else we have selected for that show, and “those at home” can also take part by sending us questions for the panellists.
Discussing both serious and humorous topics, Felix and his panelists bring you quality argumentation about almost anything – from ISIS, Drones, and Net Neutrality, to Nicki Minaj’s Feminism and Santa being a threat to National Security.
Through a mix of Pretending to Know Things™ and real insights, we host discussions about news and current events, moral problems, and humorous subjects – always with an intelligent, casual outlook. And of course, this is all accompanied by a great mix of tunes – sometimes bizarre, other times more mainstream, but always great.
Devil’s Advocate is powered by Warwick Debating Society – over the course of the year, we will be inviting a lot of Warwick’s top-notch debaters, as well as other great panelists from relevant elements of the student body.
If you’re interested in taking part, message Felix on Facebook, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or (the easiest option), join the WDS Media Facebook group.
